This course was perfect for someone like myself. It broke down all of the facets of community management. I really felt overwhelmed when I first started here at SBB, being that all of the information I was receiving was new to me. The course does an excellent job in laying the foundation for the world that I will be in. All of the major areas are dissected and explained in a way that is easy to understand as well as to show their relevance. Not only does the course explain what, for instance, financials are; but it also explains why they are important and to whom. For me, understanding why something is important is the best way for me to learn, because if I understand the why, then things start falling into place and making sense. I also appreciated the layout of the course. Each section, though full of information, was broken up into easy, mentally digestible segments. I think the longer videos were maybe 7-8 minutes. This format I think works extremely well when learning new material. If this material was presented in a solid 6 hour block, it would be too much. Because of the structure and format, I know I retained way more of the material.
